Online contractor publication, IE3, has published an article on the importance of employees working as a team to keep each other safe in the workplace.

The article emphasises that while employers and high level employees have a responsibility to notify workers of risks, individuals need to play an active role in their own and others’ safety.

The article also emphasises the importance of employees fully understanding how to use equipment before doing so, being aware of the actions employees take as they affect others, and that cutting corners on safety measures is often the starting point for accidents.

The article also emphasises the cause and effect consequences of accidents such as decreasing productivity, affecting a company’s ability to compete and retain business, losing clients, and higher insurance premiums.

IE3‘s article can be read in full here.
