Education and Training
A comprehensive calendar of business and technical training programs is offered including: business management, estimating and contracting, WH&S courses, rescue and resuscitation. Training is provided in conjunction with preferred training providers.
Work, Health and Safety
RACCA recognises the importance of having an effective work health and safety system in place. This can be a difficult area to manage due to the wide range of legislative requirements and the severe penalties associated with non-compliance.
RACCA provides a range of resources and specialist advice to assist businesses to manage their WH&S issues including: safe work procedures, risk assessments, work method statements, WH&S manuals, codes of practice, workers compensation, accredited WH&S training, WH&S legislative requirements and compliance advice.
Technical and Licensing Support
Changes to licensing provisions and industry standards can have a major impact on the way you run your business and may also affect business profitability.
With representation on Standards, technical and licensing bodies throughout Australia, RACCA has the knowledge and resources to have a direct input into the establishment and maintenance of Australian Standards and licensing provisions. Members can obtain comprehensive technical advice and reference material and receive immediate notification of changes to standards and regulations.
Commercial and Contracts
It is important that contractors use effective contracts to minimise disputes and ensure adequate protection. RACCA provides a range of contract templates, documents and advice including: proforma contracts and sub-contractors agreements, discounted stationery (job sheets, do and charge, site diaries, etc) discounted Australian Standards, payment and claims advice, discounted legal or specialist advice, and various manuals.
As a RACCA member, you will receive up-to-date information on current issues and events through a range of publications and sources including: membership manual, regular monthly newsletters, published awards, wages and conditions of employment, reference materials, manuals and the website. As a current RACCA member you will have other members and a committee who can provide information on any current issue and offer or look into matters to provide alternative suggestions to any industry matter.
National Legislation and Regulation
RACCA represents its members in matters of national legislation and regulation, elevates the standards of refrigeration and air conditioning installations, and co-operates with the authorities for the maintaining of proper standards.
