Yellow Jacket XLT2-AP Refrigerant Recovery System

US HVAC parts manufacturer, Yellow Jacket, have released the first reclaim unit designed specifically for R32 and R-1234yf refrigerants.

Developed, tested and built in the US, the XLT2-AP meets the demands of the European F-Gas code, while still having a high efficiency fan forced condenser and suitability for class III, IV and V refrigerants.

Yellow Jacket engineers started with a brush-less fan and the class leading two piston, oil-less compressor developed for the YJ-LTE, which quickly established itself as a market leader last year.

Due to concerns around the potential explosive nature of R32 and R1234yf refrigerants on start up, the brush-less fan runs for 30 seconds to ventilate the unit before starting the compressor. Other features specific to this model include: a lower pressure cut-out to stop the unit going into vacuum and drawing air or non-condensable's into the unit and/or cylinder, and a 3 metre lead to keep the potential ignition source further away. The unit also features an override switch to allow it to be used with other refrigerants.

Light to carry, fast and efficient, the XL72-AP features the patented purge switch, allowing quick removal of refrigerant from the unit to avoid cross contamination, as well as for safe transport.
