Every year on June 26, there is a celebration known as World Refrigeration Day.

The campaign, which was first launched in 2019, aims to highlight the significant contribution that heat pumps, air conditioning, and refrigeration make to modern life on a global scale and in a variety of contexts. On World Refrigeration Day, we have the chance to remember the beginnings of our industry, to recognize how vital it is to our daily lives, and to look ahead to its future.

The HVACandR industry is supported by AIRAH through a variety of year-round initiatives. This entails actions aimed at raising sector visibility and awareness, such as talks given to students in primary schools about the development of refrigeration, its effects on the climate, and where it’s going.

The wonderful world of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (also known as HVAC&R) is highlighted on World Refrigeration Day, and we’re using the occasion to share stories from our members and the industry as well as to broaden our reach.
