Yesterday kicked off the start of the 45th World Skills Competition hosted by Russia this year.
Held in the Kazan Arena Stadium, the ceremony was opened by Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and is expected to be the largest World Skills competition to date. The event marks an important occasion for Russia as their first time hosting a global-level skills competition.
More than 1,300 competitors from 63 countries will compete across 56 skills during 22 – 27 August 2019.
We wish all the best to Patrick Brennan from Gympie, Queensland who will be representing Australia in the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning category.
