A draft AS/NZS Standard on performance of electrical appliances, specifically on testing and calculating methods on air conditioners and heat pumps, is open for comment.
The draft Standards, which consists of three parts, is currently known as:
- DR AS/NZS 3823.4.1:2014 Amd 1:2016 Performance of electrical appliances–Air conditioners and heat pumps air-cooled air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps–Testing and calculating methods for seasonal performance factors–Cooling seasonal performance factor
- DR AS/NZS 3823.4.2:2014 Amd 1:2016 Performance of electrical appliances–Air conditioners and heat pumps air-cooled air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps–Testing and calculating methods for seasonal performance factors–Heating seasonal performance factor
- DR AS/NZS 3823.4.3:2014 Amd 1:2016 Performance of electrical appliances–Air conditioners and heat pumps air-cooled air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps–Testing and calculating methods for seasonal performance factors–Annual performance factor
The draft Standard, which adds up to a total of 27 pages, is available to download for free from SAI Global’s website. Comments can only be made at the Standards Australia online hub. If you haven’t commented on a draft Standard before, you will need to register to do so.
Comments close on 20 December, all comments will be sent to the EL-056 Standards Australia Room Air Conditioners Committee for review.
