 
AIRAH has gained a new director on its board of directors.
Ian Harwood, M.AIRAH, member and former president of AIRAH’s WA division committee, was elected as an interim board member to replace Ross Angel, who has joined AIRAH’s Queensland division committee. Harwood will serve as an interim board member until AIRAH’s annual general meeting is held later this year.
According to an AIRAH media release, Harwood has twenty years of experience in the building services industry with expertise in high-rise residential, hotel and commercial buildings. He currently serves as an associate director at Norman Disney & Young.
Harwood also has a special interest in designing for humid climates and passion for the training and development of young engineers.Harwood stated to AIRAH that he is passionate about the training and development of young engineers “so that the succession plan to enable the next leaders of our industry emerge.”
Harwood also stated that there has been a growth in AIRAH membership over the past few years.
