AIRAH HVAC Electrical Fundamental Seminar on this month

Electrical Cables

AIRAH will be hosting a seminar on Electrical Fundamentals with HVAC Design: Design, Contract and Installation later this month.

According to its brochure, the seminar aims to provide a fundamental understanding of electricity in Australia, as a poor understanding of electrical fundamentals can lead to poor specification, installation and operation of HVAC equipment and systems.

Head Trainer and Assessor for Electro Technology at Bowen Hills Campus, Caiphen Von Brandis-Martini, will be discussing the types of electrical loads and their effect on installation and power authority. He will also examine the importance of calculating loads as well as demand management, fault current, earth-loop impedance and the importance of Standards AS3000 and AS3008 in cable management.

Innotech Control Systems Australia’s Distribution Manager, Thomas McIllhatton will also be at the seminar to provide attendees with a preview of Omni, their new HVAC and BEMS platform.

The seminar is being held in Brisbane on Wednesday March 25 at the Francis Rush Centre in Brisbane. It is free for AIRAH members and $55 for non-members to attend. For those who are interested in attending, RSVPs are due by Monday March 20 as numbers are strictly limited.

More information on the seminar including the seminar starting time, parking costs and locations as well as where to register can be found here.
