AIRAH are calling for nominations for its Refrigeration Special Technical Group (STG).
According to its nomination form, the Refrigeration STG will “support AIRAH in all matters relating to the refrigeration industry, providing technically accurate and unbiased information with a focus on energy efficiency, safety, skills needs, environmental impact and sustainability.”
The nomination form also states that the purpose of the Refrigeration STG is to provide members with a platform for involvement in issues that affect the industry, which include but are not limited to: policy advice, regulation development, development and/or dissemination of codes and standards, sustainability and environmental impact, energy efficiency, emissions reduction, risk management, change management and industry-leading advice.
The nomination form also states that the aims of the Refrigeration STG include but are not limited to: promoting industry leadership best practice approach in key focus areas, promoting awareness of the possibility of reducing carbon emissions using new developments of technology in the refrigeration industry, becoming a reference point for government in shaping relevant policy and assisting the HVAC&R industry to make refrigerant choices that are rational and sustainable.
Those are who are interested in participating in the Refrigeration STG will have to submit their nomination form before Friday August 19. Those who are interested in participating on the committee must be AIRAH members.
The call for nominations comes just over a month after the formation of AIRAH’s Resilience STG.
