AIRAH’s annual Preloved Buildings Conference will be held in Brisbane on Tuesday October 28 and Wednesday October 29 this year.
This year’s Conference at Moda Events Portside will focus on optimising the performance of Australia’s existing building stock.
According to the Conference program, the Conference “underlines the fact that a strong focus on HVAC&R in the existing building environment can achieve dramatic effects when it comes to reducing energy use, conserving water and improving the occupied space.”
These dramatic effects–energy efficiency, building, tuning & optimisation, retrofit & refurbishment case studies and architectural, environment & financial drivers will be the main focus in the presentations by the keynote speakers.
The keynote speakers comprise of AIRAH members and former presidents ranging in professions from engineers and architects to general managers, sustainability leaders and executives.
The keynote speakers are: Dr Robert Riddel, Dr David Cropley, Bruce Precious, Dr Paul Bannister, Ian Van Eerden, Marco Hopman, Malin Lindblad, Ken Gurcan Erbas, Yale Garden, Vince Simpson, Eli Court, Steve Hennessy, Chris Nunn, Dr Nathan Groenhout, Simon James, Chris King, Samuel Thorn, Mahmudul Hasan, Gerry Hackett, Inge Sarunic, Carlos Flores, Daniel Caporilla and Jessica Holz.
Jessica Holz, who is the Conference committee chair stated that the Conference is important as it provides the opportunity to learn about challenges and opportunities with the existing building market.
