The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) has announced that ARCtick licence application fees have been frozen for 2024.
The freeze is part of aCEE DCW’s initiative to make licences financially available in view of rising livinf costs.
This decision is in line with the common commitment made by ARC and DCCEEW to reduce business costs, said Glenn Evans, CEO of Australian Council Refrigeration.
“ARC has long advocated to keep fee increases as low as possible, and we are delighted that the Department has taken this initiative. Fees are normally indexed annually based on the Wage Price Index, which would have resulted in a 4.1 per cent increase on January 1 this year.Instead, thanks to the Department’s initiative, we can announce a zero change in fees for 2024, making this one of the few business costs that will not increase this year.” he says
