Business.gov.au have highlighted how the ASIC’s (the Australian Securities and Investments Commission) Guide for Small Business Directors can help company directors.
Business.gov.au state that the Guide, which was released earlier this year, can be helpful to all company directors, whether they are new, experienced and/or silent.
The Guide focuses on the responsibilities and obligations that a company director needs to be aware of, which include but are not limited to: what to do when things go wrong, potential liabilities and how to resign as director.
ASIC’s Guide for Small Business Directors, as well as more information on small business directors, laws and ATO obligations for company directors, can be found here.
