Are you or your business in the HVAC&R industry and looking to stay ahead with the latest, environment- friendly practices? Superior Training Centre (STC), in partnership with Beijer Ref Academy, is here to help! Together, they are offering nationally accredited courses in Tasmania, focusing on the safe handling of Low GWP (Global Warming Potential) and CO₂ refrigerants. These refrigerants are designed to have less impact on the environment, making this training not only a career booster but also an important step towards sustainability.
As the world moves towards greener practices, the HVAC&R industry is also making changes to reduce harmful emissions. Low GWP and CO₂ refrigerants are the future, and handling them requires specialized knowledge. With the introduction of stricter laws and regulations in Australia, technicians must stay up-to-date to ensure they are working safely and within legal requirements.
The courses are designed to upskill technicians and make them experts in working with these refrigerants. Here’s what you can expect to learn:
UEERA0007: Apply safety awareness and legal requirements for flammable refrigerants.
UEERA0084: Service and repair self-contained flammable refrigerant air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
UEERA0048: Install and commission flammable refrigerant air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
UEERA0006: Apply safety awareness and legal requirements for carbon dioxide refrigerants.
UEERA0066: Repair and service carbon dioxide refrigeration systems.
Here’s some great news: businesses in Tasmania’s building and construction sector, including sole traders, can receive a rebate of up to 50% on training fees! This means you can upgrade your team’s skills at a much lower cost. The rebate is calculated as a percentage of the course fee and must be applied for at least three business days before the training begins.
Don’t miss out – Course dates for 2025 are already available, with the first CO₂ refrigerants course scheduled for March 20. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone in the HVAC&R industry to stay ahead of the curve, improve their skills, and contribute to a greener future.
