FEATURE: Climate Wizard CW-P15 winning streak continues

Design Awards Story

The newly-released Climate Wizard CW-P15 has been announced as a silver award winner in both the Melbourne and Sydney Design Awards.

The latest recognition comes after the CW-P15 was recently announced as a winner in this year’s Good Design Awards, as well as claiming victory in the New Product Innovation category in this year’s Australian Business Awards.

Seeley International Founder and Executive Chairman, Mr Frank Seeley AM FAICD, said the string of recent accolades underlined the significant innovative difference offered by the revolutionary indirect evaporative air conditioner.

“The CW-P15 builds on the strong reputation of the multi-award winning Climate Wizard range, and its ability to cool using 100 percent fresh air. It achieves this with no added moisture by using a hyper-efficient counter-flow heat exchanger and in doing so, challenges all of the assumptions that people make when they think of an evaporative cooler.

“The extraordinary CW-P15 transforms the performance of traditional evaporative air conditioning, and a growing number of savvy commercial and industrial consumers are opting to invest and take advantage of the 80 percent energy savings on offer, compared to refrigerated systems performing similar cooling functions.”

Mr Seeley also stated that this latest accolade will further strengthen consumer confidence in this transformational cooling technology.

“We realise that some people might not yet fully understand this new technology, because they have previously experienced older technology options. Our challenge to consumers is to put aside old thinking about cooling and experience and enjoy this next-generation technology, because it has the performance to change perceptions forever.”

The next-generation technology in the Climate Wizard CW-P15 includes but is not limited to: a UV-resistant lightweight polymer corrosion-free casing, environmentally friendly refrigerant R718 (water), a new compact modular design, integrated lifting points, a twin fan design, new axial propeller fans, and use of single rather than three phase power.

Now in its eighth year, the Melbourne and Sydney Design Awards have recognised hundreds of outstanding design projects, and the professionalism continues to increase and challenge the status quo.

Originally established in Melbourne, the DRIVENxDESIGN awards program also takes place in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, London, Hong Kong and Berlin, providing the design community critical links into global markets and an efficient method to gain recognition in export markets.

More information about both Award programs can be found here.
