FEATURE: RRA launch research app

RRA_Link_Ad_1200x628

Refrigerant Reclaim Australia (RRA) has launched a world first research app for the industry.

The Refrigerant Recovery Research app makes it easy for technicians to enter information about the systems they are replacing or uninstalling. The data collected goes into research to help limit the damaging effects refrigerant emissions have on the environment.

RRA have also stated that various studies have identified more than half the refrigerant installed in Australia is in split air-conditioning systems, and that to collect this refrigerant at the end of its life and further reduce environmental harm, information is needed, which the app can provide.

Users of the app can also go into weekly draws for a chance to share in a variety of prizes, which include: four $200 vouchers from JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings Warehouse, BCF and Caltex. There are also two grand prizes of $5,000 that are up for grabs. The weekly draws conclude on Wednesday 2 May, with the two grand prizes being drawn on Wednesday 7 March and Wednesday 2 May. The app will still be available to download after the conclusion of the weekly and grand prize draws.

The RRA Refrigerant Recovery Research app is easy to use and can be downloaded for free from the App store or the Google Play store.

As a non-profit organisation, RRA has already destroyed more than 6,500 tonnes of refrigerant resulting in the preservation of more than 10 million tonnes of stratospheric ozone, and the prevention of the emission of more than 10 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. So download the app (if you haven’t already) and help make refrigerant waste a thing of the past.
