After a successful first edition in Melbourne, ATMOsphere Australia is heading to Sydney this year in May to continue pushing natural refrigerant technology forward.
Already established as the most influential forum for discussions on the business case for natural refrigerants in Europe, America and Asia, ATMOsphere Australia 2017 will be a unique opportunity to meet and exchange opinions with the market’s leading end users, contractors, suppliers, policy makers and government representatives, offering unparalleled networking opportunities with top industry professionals.
The refined programme offer the participants end user and supplier panels, policy, market trends, and technology case study sessions. The focus will be the latest developments and case studies from industrial and commercial refrigeration, as well as training and standards for natural refrigerants.
This year’s highlights include an exclusive policy session with Patrick McInerney, Director of the International Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas Section in the Australian Government Department of the Environment and Energy, who will introduce the latest regulatory issues and standards for natural refrigerants at Australian/New Zealand region and international dimensions.
End user perspectives will also be in the spotlight, which will bring together some key retailers such as Coles, F Mayer Imports, Nestle Australia, Costco, Woolworths, Foodstuffs North Island, and Countdown, to discuss their positive experiences with natural refrigerants systems and future plans in the commercial and industrial refrigeration applications.
The programme features a training session with prominent HVAC&R associations in Australia and New Zealand, who will share their best practices and provide useful insights into the natural refrigerant market. Among the speakers are Matt Allfree from Climate Control Companies Association of New Zealand (CCCANZ) and Kim Limburg from the Australian Refrigeration Mechanics Association (ARMA), who will talk about the latest developments and technological barriers in this sector.
The market trends session will address the latest success stories, challenges and strategic approaches when it comes to natural refrigerant-based systems, with presentations from industry leaders such as Bitzer, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Scantec, Mayekawa, EPTA, Dorin, and Danfoss.
Lastly, the technology case studies in HVAC&R panel will be divided into two sections, namely one for commercial refrigeration and one for industrial refrigeration, AC and heat pumps. Leading experts such as Bitzer, McAlpine Hussmann, SCM Frigo, Strathbrook Industrial Services, KAV Consulting, CRS, and many more will showcase cutting-edge technology case studies. Mayekawa Australia will present innovative products such as the NH3/CO2 cascade freeze dry application in New Zealand and Kawasaki Heavy Industries will introduce their turbo chiller using R718 (water) as refrigerant.
