Standards Australia have opened the Amendment to AS/NZS 1668.1:2015 for comment.
The Amendment to AS/NZS 1668.1:2015–The use of ventilation and air conditioning in buildings–Part 1: Fire and smoke control in buildings, includes various deletion and replacements of texts in existing clauses, as well as the addition of new clauses relating to temperature of fusion and duct construction. Illustrations of plantrooms, floor plans and shafts, and new commentaries have also been replaced.
The AS/NZS 1668.1 was first published in 1974, with its second edition published five years later, followed by revisions in 1991, 1998 and 2015.
The Draft is open for comment on its technical content, wording and general arrangement, until 18 September. The Draft can be downloaded and comments can be made here.
