NSW students are taking advantage of the 100,000 free apprenticeship study packages.
With the rise in tertiary qualifications saturating the job market and knowledge-based industries increasingly becoming outsourced, it is little wonder that students are turning to trade as an alternative to the traditional university path. Since the NSW Government Budget Initiative established its funding scheme for free apprenticeships, vocational training levels have risen with more students discovering entrepreneurship opportunities to eventually start their own business.
As part of the fee-free study scheme, the introduction of a generous interest-free $20,000 loan has motivated almost 3000 students to undertake training in Dubbo since the program was announced by the federal government.
The program has given a head-start to new apprentices hoping to get ahead in their careers.
