Future of HVAC 2016 Conference a success!

The Future of HVAC 2016 Conference was a success, even breaking a record.

According to AIRAH’s media release, the Future of HVAC 2016 Conference, which was held in Brisbane last week, “showcased a stellar line-up of speakers and provided a raft of provocative ideas”, with a record 145 delegates in attendance.

The focus over the two-day event was on the HVAC&R industry’s shift towards a zero-energy future, as well as “embracing a bleeding-edge design.”

The AIRAH media release provides details on the presentations and sessions held. The two keynote speakers: Queensland Minister for Environment and Heritage, Dr Steven Miles, and Queensland University of Technology’s David Hood AO, voiced their support on the need for renewable energy adoption.

The media released also stated that Atelier Ten’s Paul Stoller explored how algae systems can contribute to an improved environment, while AIRAH members: Leon Wurfel, Steven Luxford and Matthew Sullivan participated in a panel session on automated fault diagnosis, and AIRAH member, Paul Bannister led an open workshop session where questions revolved around zero energy, which led to the final presentation by Dr Stephen White on a key PRIME project.

The media release also stated that next year’s Future of HVAC Conference will be held in Sydney.
