The fourth Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Expo (RACE) is currently underway in Brisbane.
This is the second time that Brisbane has hosted RACE, following the hosting of the very first RACE in 2014. According to its official website, the purpose of RACE is to have “customers in mind to showcase not only new products and ideas but to also provide a view of the future.” This was achieved in 2014 by conducting multiple presentations, demonstrations and show specials, as well as having various products on show and door prizes from over 200 companies across the country.
Last year, two RACEs were held in Perth and Sydney in July and August respectively, RACCA NSW attended Sydney’s RACE with RACCA Australia attending today.
There will be a wide variety of exhibitors at this year’s RACE including but not limited to: Actrol, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Reece HVAC-R, Sky Refrigeration, Bitzer, Bosch and Danfoss. The RACE website has also stated that they plan on including more interactive displays and demonstrations this year and that RACE 2016 will be the biggest to date.
Three seminars will be held today—‘The Future of Refrigerants’ which will be presented by Roger Stringer from Actrol, ‘Revolutionary Press Fittings for HVAC-R Pipework’ which will be presented by Jeremy Livesey from Reece HVAC-R and ‘Factory Fitted EEV for Refrigeration’ which will be presented by Iain Skelton from CAREL. The three seminars will be held twice, once in the afternoon and again in the evening.
RACE 2016 is being held at the Royal International Convention Centre in Brisbane from 12pm to 8pm.
