Earlier this year, RACCA Australia published an article on Women & Leadership Australia (WLA) running a national initiative to support the development of female leaders across the trade skills and engineering industries. Building on success of the initiative this year, an additional round of scholarships are now available.
WLA stated that the initiative is providing women with scholarships between $3,000 and $8,000 to enable participation in a range of leadership development programs.
The scholarships are provided with the specific intent of providing powerful and effective development opportunities for women in trade skills and the engineering sector, however the scholarships are strictly limited and have to be allocated by the end of the year.
The scholarships are available in three different leadership courses–the Advanced Leadership Program, the Executive Ready Program, and the Accelerated Leadership Program.
The Accelerated Leadership Program is aimed at managers early in their careers, with a scholarship valued at $3,000.
The Executive Ready Program is aimed at mid-level managers, with a scholarship valued at $4,000.
The Advanced Leadership Program is aimed at experienced senior and executive leaders, with a scholarship valued at $8,000.
The programs comprise of a combination of online and face-to-face learning, with theoretical and practical elements. This also isn’t the first time that these scholarships have been distributed, they were previously distributed in 2016 and earlier this year.
Those who are interested in applying for scholarships can apply by submitting an Expression of Interest form, which can be found here. Expressions of Interest are open until 15 December.
