WorldSkills Australia will be hosting a Skills Show focusing on career exploration through Vocational Education and Training (VET) next year.
The WorldSkills Australia website describes the Skills Show as “the future of Australia’s trade and skill industry under one roof” and that it will provide visitors with the opportunity “to discover future careers through interactive events, demonstrations and competitions.”
The website also states that the Skills Show aims to provide “young Australians with the knowledge to make an informed choice about their future career options” and that over 20,000 visitors, industry leaders, experts and education providers are expected to attend.
The 2018 Skills Show will feature a variety of events including but not limited to: a Skills Pathway Expo, Microsoft Virtual Reality demonstrations, robotics competitions, interactive workshops, “Try ‘ a Skill” activities, Start Smart workshops, the Skills & Thrills Show, and the 2018 WorldSkills National Championships.
The 2018 Skills Show will be held from 2-4 June at the International Convention Centre at Darling Harbour. This follows ARBS 2018 which is also being held at the International Convention Centre in May.
