Do’s and Don’ts of HVAC/R vehicle advertising

Two years ago, RACCA Australia published an article on the benefits of HVAC/R vehicle advertising, that were listed by ACHR News. The article emphasised that contractors and HVAC/R businesses who wish to advertise their services and businesses on their work vehicles, can easily do so by having a custom wrap placed on their vehicle/s, however just putting a wrap on the car or van isn’t enough.

Now ACHR News have published an article detailing the do’s and don’ts of HVAC/R vehicle advertising, specifically the design of custom wraps.

ACHR News interviewed Brian Steele from Aggressive Graphics, Nicole Compton from Revolution Wraps, and Dan Antonelli from Graphic D-Signs for their insights into the importance of the design process of custom wraps.

Compton stated that contractors who are interested in having custom wraps made for their vehicles should expect to be involved throughout the process. She also outlined the design process that her company uses with contractors, such as bouncing ideas around, doing client research, brainstorming, designing and presenting options for feedback.

Steele stated that the design process for his company varies on the preferences of each client and how involved they want to be, while Antonelli stated that contractors should be prepared to either overhaul or completely toss out their current branding.

Steele, Compton and Antonelli go on to outline the steps in getting a quality custom wrap done.

Compton stated that the first step in getting a wrap done is having a good idea of what contractors want to achieve with it, as well as knowing how they want it to look. Steele recommended picking a graphic designer and business with plenty of experience, and Antonelli recommended that contractors keep their designs simple.

Steele, Compton and Antonelli also detail the different prices of custom wraps, which depend on the sizea that the contractors want, and also emphasise the fact that custom wraps are most effective when they are professionally done and accurately reflect a company’s brand and mission.
