AIRAH have announced the finalists of their upcoming annual Awards.
The Awards consist of eight categories covering different aspects of the industry from innovation to sustainability, retrofitting, upgrading, solar energy, technicality and research. The Awards finalists and eventual winners also range from students to leaders with many years of experience in the industry.
The Award’s eight categories are: AIRAH Future Leader Award, Student of the Year Award, AIRAH’s Award for Excellence in Innovation, AIRAH’s Award for Excellence in Sustainability, Best HVAC and Refrigeration Retrofit or Upgrade, the Denis Joseph Award for Innovative Use of Solar Energy in HVAC and Refrigeration, AIRAH’s Award for Excellence in Refrigeration Research and the WR Ahern Award.
The AIRAH Future Leader Award recognises the achievement, involvement and contribution of emerging industry leaders. The Student of the Year Award recognises outstanding students at any level in the industry.
AIRAH’s Award for Excellence in Innovation acknowledges significant improvements in the industry achieved through innovation. AIRAH’s Award for Excellence in Sustainability acknowledges improved sustainability of HVAC&R systems.
The Denis Joseph Award for Innovative Use of Solar Energy in HVAC and Refrigeration acknowledges Australian initiatives that have substantially improved industry system performance through innovative use of solar energy. The WR Ahern Award is given to the best AIRAH member-written, Ecolibrium-published technical paper.
The AIRAH Awards 2014 will be held in Brisbane at Moda Events Paradise on Thursday November 27.
