AIRAH have announced their two prominent keynote speakers for their Future of HVAC 2016 Conference.
According to AIRAH’s media release, Queensland Environment Minister, Dr Steven Miles and Professor David Hood AM will be featuring as keynote speakers at the Conference, which is being held in Brisbane next month. AIRAH CEO, Tony Gleeson described Miles’ and Hood’s addition to the list of speakers as a “coup for AIRAH.”
The media release states that Professor Hood’s presentation will “provide an in-depth overview of the effects of climate change on the HVAC&R industry and what needs to be accomplished to ameliorate its effects.” Hood himself stated in the media release that in regards to the HVAC&R industry, addressing leadership issues is key to addressing climate change effects.
The media release also states that Dr Steven Miles is the Minister for Environment and Heritage Protection and Minister for National Parks and the Great Barrier Reef and that Professor Hood was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2013, in recognition of his contribution to engineering.
The line up of speakers for the Future of HVAC 2016 Conference also includes: Hongsen Zhang from Energy Action, Andrew Corney from Sefaira, Peter Henry from Fantech, Nicki Parker from AECOM, Carl Agar from A.G. Coombs, Paul Bannister from Energy Action, Paul Stoller from Atelier Ten, Dr Greg Picker from Refrigerants Australia and Joe Scholz and Mark Graham from QED Environmental Services.
The Future of HVAC 2016 Conference is being held at the QUT Garden Points Campus in Brisbane from September 7 to 8. More information can be found here.
