AIRAH have released the schedule for their 2016 Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Courses.

AIRAH will host three Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration Courses throughout the year—Industrial Ammonia Plant Operations, Ammonia Emergency Response and Ammonia Safety Awareness.

According to the course brochure, the Industrial Ammonia Plant Operations course will be held over three days in QLD and NSW. The course is aimed at plant operators who need to be aware of the potential hazards associated with ammonia and need to have a sound knowledge of how an industrial ammonia plant is operated. The course will be held in QLD from June 28 to 30 and in VIC from July 18 to 20.

The Ammonia Emergency Response course will run for one day in QLD, Victoria and NSW. The course aims to equip participants with everything they need to know in order to handle ammonia in an emergency situation. The course will be held in QLD on July 1 and in Victoria on July 21 with a date yet to be announced for NSW.

The Ammonia Safety Awareness course will also run for one day and can be held in workplaces. This an introductory course that will provide information on ammonia refrigerant, legislation, Australian standards, safety and risk management.
