AIRAH have elected their new president, Ania Hampton, the first female president in AIRAH’s 95-year history.
According to AIRAH’s media release, Hampton was unanimously elected by her fellow directors at the recent AIRAH board meeting. She will take over from Nathan Groenhout who has been AIRAH president for three years.
Hampton is the director of her own engineering practice, Edefice and plans to lead a collaborative and consultative board, as well as engage with AIRAH members. She spoke of her passion for AIRAH’s members to be recognised and for the industry to be highly valued, in the media release.
“I want our members to be recognised in the industry as leaders and technical experts, and for the wider public to value our profession and contribution to their everyday lives.”
Hampton also stated that education, training and engaging with HVACR leaders, as well as improving AIRAH’s member services are important to her.
