Nominations open for the 2016 AIRAH Awards

Nominations have opened today for the 2016 AIRAH Awards.

According to its official website, the AIRAH Awards recognise individuals, companies, research projects and products across the HVAC&R industry who have delivered significant contributions to the industry during 2014/15.

There are ten different Award categories–the James Harrison Medal, Future Leader Award, Student of the Year Award, Best HVAC&R Retrofit or Upgrade Award, the Denis Joseph Award for Innovative Use of Solar Energy in HVAC&R, Excellence in Sustainability Award, Excellence in Innovation Award, Product of the Year Award, Excellence in HVAC&R Research Award and the W.R. Ahern Award.

According to its official website, the James Harrison Medal is the highest honour that AIRAH can bestow upon an individual by recognising the highest level of individual achievement in the HVAC&R industry.

The Future Leader Award recognises emerging leaders under the age of 35 in any facet of the HVAC&R industry.

The Student of the Year Award recognises outstanding scholarship at any level in the HVAC&R industry.

The Best HVAC&R Retrofit or Upgrade Award recognises excellence in the retrofit or upgrade of a HVAC&R system which can address the complete delivery of projects.

The Denis Joseph Award for Innovative Use of Solar Energy in HVAC&R recognises Australian initiatives that have improved the performance of systems through the use of solar energy.

The Excellence in Sustainability Award recognises Australian initiatives that have made improvements in sustainability of systems and/or in the HVAC&R industry.

The Excellence in Innovation Award recognises significant Australian improvements in HVAC&R through innovation.

The Product of the Year Award will recognise the best product with innovative, energy efficient, sustainable and original features.

The Excellence in HVAC&R Research Award recognises outstanding achievements in Australian research that have provided additional knowledge of systems.

The W.R. Ahern Award recognises the best technical paper published by an AIRAH member in AIRAH publication, Ecolibrium in 2015.

Nominations are open until July 25 with the Awards to be held on November 10.
