AIRAH have released a new technical resource on kitchen exhaust fire safety.
According to AIRAH’s media release, the free online technical bulletin, Fire Safety–Kitchen hood exhaust systems, offers an in-depth look at the special fire risks associated with commercial ventilation systems. The bulletin also aims to highlight the main fire safety issues, promote a common language and improve understand of the risks and responsibilities throughout the supply chain.
The media release also states that the bulletin was prepared by AIRAH in collaboration with its members, as well as industry regulatory organisations and government and fire authorities. The bulletin is divided into 10 sections and covers multiple risk and safety topics.
The bulletin can be found here along with several other AIRAH technical resources, which include but are not limited to: Natural Refrigerants case studies, the Refrigerant Handling Code of Practice, the Flammable Refrigerants Safety Guide, the Management Guidelines for the phase-out of R22, the HVAC Optimisation Guide and the Industrial Refrigeration Energy Saver Technology Report.
