Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday (April 3) at 3am (Daylight Saving Time) in the ACT, NSW, SA, VIC and Tasmania with the clocks going one hour backwards. Daylight Saving Time doesn’t apply in the NT, WA or Queensland.
For businesses who have employees that will be working during the change over, the Fair Work Ombudsman recommends employers check the relevant award, registered agreement or employment contract in regards to paying their employees.
The Fair Work Ombudsman website states that if the relevant award, registered agreement or employment contract doesn’t say anything about daylight savings, employees who work overnight when it ends are paid according to the clock.
