AIRAH’s Solar Heating and Cooling Workshop 2015 is being held today.
The Workshop will involve exploring different aspects of solar cooling such as: case studies, industry applications, policy development, industry development, components, mechanisms and innovations.
This year’s Workshop is AIRAH’S second Solar Cooling Workshop. This year’s Workshop marks the addition of solar heating to the agenda.
AIRAH CEO, Phil Wilkinson stated that “solar cooling and heating have incredible potential to help Australia deal with some of our electricity grid issues such as reducing greenhouse gases and infrastructure costs.”
The speakers at the Workshop include Dr Stephen White from CSIRO, Professor Paul Cooper from the University of Wollongong, Ooi Koon Beng from the University Malaysia Sarawak, Alastair McDowell from the University of Canterbury VK Phoon from Telstra, Stuart Hands from CSIRO, Dr Mark Goldsworthy, also from CSIRO and Paul Riordan, who has worked in renewable energy for over 20 years.
AIRAHS’s Solar Heating and Cooling Workshop 2015 is being held at the Leon Kane-Maguire Theatre at the University of Wollongong Innovation Campus.
