Next year AIRAH will have a new online training course available: Sustainable Building Operations.
The Sustainable Building Operations course will be available from May and focuses on the role of facility managers. According to its brochure, the course covers 26 topics including but not limited to: the science of climate change, the building & its environment, the building as a system, the sustainable building, managing the building and changing performance. The course is designed for facility managers, building operators and mechanical engineers.
Another AIRAH online training course that is available is the Air Conditioning 101 course. This course is available at any time and according to its brochure is an introduction to the basics of HVAC in commercial buildings. According to its brochure, the course covers a range of topics including but not limited to: what heats and cools a room, personal comfort, the refrigeration cycle, cooling towers, air systems, climate zones, energy, maintenance and fire & smoke control. This course is designed for non-technical people and/or as an induction for staff in the industry.
