AIRAH have released a new survey focusing on safety issues at trade level.
The survey states that the HVAC&R industry “has some key challenges at a very local level with skills and compliance issues, right through to the global stage where extreme and disruptive events are increasingly prevalent.” The survey went on to emphasise the needs for greater energy efficiency and a reduction in emissions.
AIRAH stated in the survey that they have consulted with industry leaders and identified five key issues that required attention. These issues are: resilience, sustainability, compliance, transition to lower GWP refrigerants and innovation & research.
AIRAH also stated that they are collaborating with WHS departments and industry associations to identify safety issues in the industry that need improvement.
AIRAH are inviting those in the industry to take the survey to share their thoughts on day-to-day work, impacts, causes and suggestions for improvement.
The release of the survey comes a month after the release of their commercial refrigeration systems survey that was targeted towards NSW business owners.
