The Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) have released their latest CoolChange newsletter.
This issue of the newsletter focuses on: ARC’s involvement in the Ozone Act review, technical and training quality boosts for ARC, the review of refrigerant flammability classification, how Australia’s refrigerant management programs fair in comparison to other countries, ARC’s Board of Directors, a case study of the Certificate II in Split Systems, ARC’s new industry working groups, training courses that are in regulators’ sights, innovations in refrigerant leak detection and information on future:gas seminars.
CoolChange reveals ARC’s involvement in the Ozone Act review, which included making suggestions in their submission, which have come to fruition as key outcomes of the review.
CoolChange reveals that the technical and training quality boosts that they are receiving come from the recruitment of Noel Munkman, refrigeration and air conditioning training expert.
CoolChange provides information on the review of refrigerant flammability classification in regards to their involvement of the review of AS/NZS 1677.1: 1998 (Refrigeration systems Part 1: Refrigerant Classification) and AS/NZS 1677.2: 1998 (Refrigerating systems–Safety Requirements for Fixed Applications). CoolChange also reveals that Australia is a global leader in its refrigerant management programs according to an AHRI report released in January.
