Two Australian refrigeration and air conditioning industry groups have united to launch an educational trade scholarship program.
According to a report by Climate Control News, AREMA (the Airconditioning and Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturers Association of Australia) and AMCA (the Airconditioning and Mechanical Contractors Association) launched the scholarship program with the support of the ARBS Foundation.
The report also states that the scholarship program, which is officially known as the ARBS Foundation Educational Trade Scholarship, was established following a review of industry skills requirements. The scholarship program aims to improve a refrigeration and air conditioning tradesperson’s knowledge, promote the qualify outcomes and benefits of vocational education and to support the ARBS stakeholder industry.
The report also states that the scholarship program will include a two-week residential course at the Refrigeration and Climate Control Centre of Excellence.
The winners of the scholarship program will be announced at the ARBS Dinner on May 18.
