Chillventa 2014 was a huge success last week, so much so that it set new records.

Chillventa 2014–which ran for three days from October 14 to 16–topped 30,000 trade visitors for the first time. This is a seven percent increase from the previous exhibition in 2012. There were 984 exhibitors–70 more than the previous exhibition. The majority of both trade visitors and exhibitors were international (56 percent and 67 percent respectively) and represented over 110 countries.

All the exhibitors had various presentations and products to offer the trade visitors. These presentations and products included but were certainly not limited to a presentation on trends in the global ACR & heating market, a sneak peak of Masterflux’s Eclipse Compressor and Danfoss’ Optyma Plus Inverter and a booth packed with information on alternate refrigerants.

Cooltech and Efficient Energy showed off their products using impressive technologies–Cooltech with magnetic cooling and Efficient Energy’s e-Chiller which they claim is the world’s first production scale chiller using water as a refrigerant.

Attendance at Chillventa 2014 grew each day and Chillventa Congressing, which was held the day before Chillventa 2014 commenced, was also a huge success with 250 international participants in attendance.

The dates for Chillventa 2016 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg was announced on the last day–it will run for the standard three days from Tuesday October 11 to Thursday October 13.
