EOFY Preparation Tips for Businesses

Konica Minolta and FM Magazine have provided tips for businesses to prepare for the end of the financial year.

Konica Minolta Sales and Marketing Director, Shane Blandford, emphasised to FM Magazine, the importance of business health checks for small-to-medium businesses at the end of the financial year.

“The end of the financial year is an ideal time to conduct an overall business health check and gain clarity of business workflow procedures. All businesses should be looking for ways to drive greater efficiency, become more environmentally friendly and ensure their intellectual property and computer systems are well protected.”

Konica Minolta provided five tips for businesses to prepare for the end of the financial year to FM Magazine. These tips are: conduct a business health check, overhaul business workflow, review and protect intellectual property, purchase new equipment and reduce your environmental footprint.

The ‘conduct a business health check’ tip emphasises that the health checks can expose areas for improvement and opportunities to save money.

The ‘overhaul business workflow’ tip suggests identifying time consuming tasks and finding ways to standardise the processes behind them.

The ‘review and protect intellectual property’ tip provides examples of how to review and protect intellectual property.

The ‘purchase new equipment’ tip focuses on the benefits that could be gained from purchasing new equipment at the end of the financial year.

The ‘reduce your environmental footprint’ tip provides examples of how businesses can reduce their environmental footprint.

Konica Minolta’s tips can be read in full at FM Magazine here.

Business.gov.au have provided similar tips for businesses with their to-do list of essential EOFY tasks. In contrast to these tips, Business.gov.au’s to-do list focuses more on tax and business finances.
