The Fair Work Ombudsman have released a new app, Record My Hours.
The Fair Work Ombudsman stated on their website that the app was released to assist employees keep and store records of their employment information, including the hours that they work.
The Fair Work Ombudsman also stated that the app enables employees to retrieve their employment information instantly, which would be crucial during a workplace dispute.
The Record My Hours app features include but are not limited to: the ability to export data via email, automatic recording via GPS technology, manual recording (automatic recording is not a guarantee in all job types), the ability to add rosters to a calendar, reminders for upcoming shifts, the ability to back-up information collected to iCloud or Dropbox, and the ability to record information about piecework arrangements.
