It’s that time of year again….time to turn back your clocks!
Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday (April 2) at 3am (AEDT) in the ACT, NSW, SA, VIC and Tasmania, with the clocks going one hour backwards. Daylight Saving Time is not observed in the NT, WA or Queensland.
For businesses who have employees that will be working during the change over, the Fair Work Ombudsman recommends employers check the relevant award, registered agreement or employment contract, in regards to paying their employees.
The Fair Work Ombudsman’s website states that if the relevant award, registered agreement or employment contract doesn’t say anything about Daylight Saving Time, employees who work overnight when it ends are paid according to the clock.
