The federal Government has announced a $2 million pledge to HVACR-related strategies as part of the Climate Solutions Package (CSP) which was established to assist Australia with meeting its 2030 Paris Treaty commitments. A significant portion of the CSP fund is focused on emissions reduction projects centred on energy efficiency in HVACR. This funding aims to foster the transition to more energy efficient air conditioning and refrigeration systems owned by small businesses.
Further pledges have been announced by the government to comprise the expansion of the energy rating system for further household appliances such as reverse-cycle air conditioners. These measures hopefully pave the way for a lower emissions future.
