Government hosting social media for business webinars

The Australian Government’s Entrepreneurs Programme are offering free social media webinars for businesses.

According to Business.gov.au, the Social Media for Your Business webinars will be delivered by marketing and social media experts and targeted towards eligible clients of the Entrepreneurs Programme. Business.gov.au also states that the webinars will “provide an introduction to social media to support business innovation, increase productivity and competitiveness, and support business success.”

There will be a total of nine webinars held: An Introduction to Social Media, Social Media for Branding and Public Relations, Social Media for Sales and Lead Generation, Customer Service and Retention, Growing Social Media Trends, Where to From Here, Facebook Strategies You Should Know to Grow Your Business, How Your Business Can Benefit From LinkedIn, and How Other Social Media Platforms Can Work for Your Business.

The Introduction to Social Media webinar is being held on June 15, the Social Media for Branding and Public Relations webinar is being held on July 19, the Social Media for Sales and Lead Generation webinar is being held on August 8, the Customer Service and Retention webinar is being held on September 5, the Growing Social Media Trends webinar is being held on October 16, and the Where to From Here webinar is being held on November 13. All of these webinars start at 12.30pm and go for an hour, the dates for the three remaining webinars are yet to be decided.

Business.gov.au states that the Enterpreneurs Programme “provides business support and advice to help businesses commercialise novel products, processes and services, as well as improve their productivity and competitiveness…” and that “learning events are offered by the Programme to build understanding of markets and management techniques, and embed capacity in Australian small and medium enterprises.”
