At the Australian Refrigeration Council’s AGM last December 1. Dr. Greg Picker was elected as the next chair of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Board.
Michael Bennett, who has served out his term and is retiring, gives way to him.
With over ten years of experience in the refrigerants and products industries, Greg Picker is the executive director of Refrigerants Australia. Picker is well-versed in the drivers of environmental policy as well as the refrigeration and air conditioning business, having worked for both the Australian government and the UN.
Michael Bennett steps down after a remarkable career in the refrigeration industry. He has spent most of his career involved with industrial gases, beginning at BOC in the 1980s.
His career was crowned when, as part of this year’s Australia Day honours, he was named a Member of the Order of Australia for his noteworthy contributions to the environment and the refrigeration sector.
