The GUIDE 2014: Natural Refrigerants Continued Growth & Innovation in Europe has been released.

The GUIDE 2014 follows the release of its first edition in 2012. It contains valuable information for both novices and experts in the industry. The information focuses specifically on natural refrigerants, applications of natural refrigerants in Europe and food chain application areas. The GUIDE 2014 also contains policy information, case studies, a European industry survey and natural business directory and information on the European market today and tomorrow. The GUIDE’s release comes as changes to F-Gas regulations are coming into effect.

The first chapter, About Natural Refrigerants summarises the characteristics of the “natural five” refrigerants–carbon dioxide, ammonia, hydrocarbons, water and air. The Applications of Natural Refrigerants in Europe chapter details the use of these five natural refrigerants in three “ecosystems”–cities, buildings & transport and Industry and Sports.

The Natural Refrigerants in the European Food Chain/Application Areas & End User Views chapter details the use of HFC-free systems in the food chain–literally–from food sourcing, to production, to processing, to transport, to food retail, restaurants and hospitality.

The Natural Refrigerants in the European Food Chain/Market & Technology Maps chapter details the growing market for commercial carbon dioxide transcritical refrigeration systems, as well as a world map where these systems are gaining momentum.

The Policy chapter details how laws, standards and rules are affecting and even dividing the industry. This chapter includes information on the changes to F-Gas regulations. The Case Studies chapter details and analyses specific cases on commercial and industrial heating, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions throughout Europe.

The European Industry Survey chapter summarises the results of an industry survey that 367 HVAC&R experts took part in last year and the European Natural Refrigerant Business Directory contains information of over 400 companies working with natural refrigerants.

The European Market Today and Tomorrow chapter contains a map showing where suppliers of natural refrigerants are located worldwide, as well as predicting the commercial availability of natural refrigerants over the next ten years.
