The Australian Alliance for Energy Productivity (A2EP) is organizing a bus tour to visit commercial and industrial heat pump installations in Kyneton, Victoria on 29 November.
This tour shows how heat pump technology can efficiently provide heating and cooling services for a variety of applications. Organized by A2EP CEO Jarrod Leak, the tour starts at the Hardwick meat processing plant, where industrial heat pumps have been installed and integrated into an existing refrigeration plant.
The project features:
Integration with the refrigeration plant’s oil cooling, desuperheating and condensing systems
Integration with thermal storage
Upgraded electrical capacity
Ammonia-based heat pump achieving hot water over 75°C.
The tour also visits the Aquatic Center to check out electric space heating, pool and hot water solutions.
Lunch and other refreshments will be provided throughout the day and ticket prices are $490 (GST) per person for A2EP members and $690 (GST) per person for non-members.
