Last month RACCA Australia published an article on the launch of this year’s I love my local business competition, which involved consumers nominating a business they love for the chance to win the People’s Choice Award.
Now voting has officially opened for the People’s Choice Award.
According to a NSW Fair Trading media release, NSW Fair Trading Minister Matthew Mason-Cox stated that twice as many entries were received compared to last year. He also stated that the amount of entries show how widespread and valued good business practices are in NSW communities.
The aim of the I love my local business competition is to celebrate positive relationships between consumers and small businesses.
According to the media release, Minister for Small Business John Barilaro stated that this year’s nominations covered a wide range of services, including but not limited to: mechanics, fitness trainers, pharmacies, nail artists, real estate agents, veterinarians and body piercing.
An independent judging panel will decide the five winners of this year’s People’s Choice Award from the shortlisted businesses. Voting is now open and closes on Friday 28 November.
The list of the 25 shortlisted businesses for this year’s People’s Choice Award can be found here. If you would like to vote, you can do so at NSW Fair Trading’s Facebook page, which can be found here. The five winners will be announced in early December.
