The International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) have made their International Dictionary of Refrigeration available online.
The Dictionary had previously only been available in print and in five languages, now that it is online it is available in 11 languages.
Now with it’s online availability, the Dictionary provides the definitions of scientific and technical terms, as well as the ability to identify a term in a language of the user’s choosing and corresponding translations. The IIR stated that in the future they plan to install a responsive design and themed index to the Dictionary.
The Dictionary’s content covers all areas of refrigeration, including but not limited to: basic principles, refrigeration production, installation, transport and air conditioning. The IIR stated that the Dictionary is a result of the hard work by over 200 experts from over 30 countries.
