AIRAH announces finalists for 2015 Awards

Award

Last year RACCA Australia published an article on AIRAH announcing finalists for their annual Awards.

Now, AIRAH have announced the finalists for this year’s AIRAH Awards.

The Awards consist of eight categories covering different aspects of the industry from innovation to sustainability, retrofitting, upgrading, solar energy, technicality and research. The Awards finalists and eventual winners also range from students to leaders with many years of experience in the industry.

The Award’s eight categories are: AIRAH Future Leader Award, Student of the Year Award, AIRAH’s Award for Excellence in Innovation, AIRAH’s Award for Excellence in Sustainability, Best HVAC and Refrigeration Retrofit or Upgrade, the Denis Joseph Award for Innovative Use of Solar Energy in HVAC and Refrigeration, AIRAH’s Award for Excellence in Refrigeration Research and the WR Ahern Award.

This year, a ninth category has been added–Product of the Year. AIRAH stated in their media release that the Product of the Year Award “honours the top Australian-developed, designed and manufactured products.” AIRAH also stated in their media release that the products for the Product of the Year Award are assessed for specific features, including but not limited to: “innovation, energy efficiency, sustainability, originality and industry need.” This year’s finalists for the first Product of the Year Award are BuildingIQ 4.0 (a cloud-based platform), PlantPro BMS (from Conserve) and the FTC Titan (from Aira).

Finalists in the other eight Award categories include but are not limited to: BUENO Systems, Global Pacific Imports, Bosch and Hi-Flow Industries.

The Award winners will be announced at a presentation dinner at Luna Park Sydney on November 26. More information on the 2015 AIRAH Awards can be found here.
