The Australian Industry Standards have released an IRC Skills Forecast Survey to obtain industry input on a variety of skills and employment issues.
The Survey home page states that the Survey is being conducted on behalf of the Industry Reference Committee (IRC) to enable each IRC to submit their required IRC Skills Forecast to the Australian Industry Skills Committee (AISC), with the results being used to develop industry outlooks and identify new and emerging skills.
The Survey asks participants to identify what industry organisation they operate in, which IRC provides coverage to their industry, the size of their organisation, and the state/territory that they are located in. The Survey then progresses to asking the participants what generic skills are important to them, what the most important skills will be for their industry’s workforce over the next few years, if they have identified any skills shortages, the main factors that influence training provisions, and barriers to providing training.
The Survey is now open to complete, no expiry date has been listed, however the deadline for IRCs to submit their forecasts is April 28.
The Survey can be found and completed here.
