Nominations open for 2018 HVAC&R Leadership Awards

Nominations are open for the 2018 HVAC&R Leadership Awards.

The 2018 HVAC&R Leadership Awards comprise of seven categories: Leader in Energy Saving and Sustainability, Woman of the Year in HVAC&R, Innovator of the Year, Male & Female Rising Star, Fridgie of the Year, Contractor of the Year, and HVAC&R Leader of the Year.

The Leader in Energy Saving and Sustainability Award recognises “excellence in sustainability and energy savings” and is awarded “to a professional that has demonstrated outstanding achievement in a project showcasing sustainability as well as reducing energy use.”

The Woman of the Year in HVAC&R Award recognises “the successful career of a woman working in HVAC&R” with the winner demonstrating “excellence in her field and is a source of inspiration for other women.”

The Innovator of the Year Award recognises “the developer of an outstanding innovative project, product or program that has been implemented across the industry and had a significant impact on HVAC&R.”

The Male & Female Rising Star Awards recognises “the future champions (or current young champions)–those who have either risen quickly through the ranks, or significantly contributed to a project, product, research or program that is making a positive difference.”

The Fridgie of the Year Award is a new category which recognises “excellence a tradesperson has demonstrated during installation as well as exceptional customer service. This tradesperson has the potential to be the best Fridgie in the business.”

The Contractor of the Year Award recognises “sole trader/contractor or small business operator excellence, a contractor that has demonstrated exceptional levels of technical expertise, innovation and customer service.”

The HVAC&R Leader of the Year Award recognises “overall excellence in leadership” and is awarded to a professional that has a “well established HVAC&R career and has contributed extensively to the development and improvement of the HVAC&R industry.”

The Fridgie of the Year Award isn’t the only first for the HVAC&R Leadership Awards. This year will also mark the first time that the Awards are hosted in Melbourne instead of Sydney.

Nominations close on Tuesday, 31 July, with the 2018 HVAC&R Leadership Awards being presented on 11 October.
