R744.com continues its NEXT series

RACCA Australia have published two previous articles on R744.com’s NEXT series. The NEXT series is focusing on what’s ahead for the refrigeration industry. Since our last article, last month, four more articles in the NEXT series have been published.

Each of the four articles are interviews with representatives from major refrigeration companies. One article focused on an interview with Jesper Olsen from Alfa Laval. Another article focused on an interview with Clay Rohrer from Parker Hannifin. Another article focused on an interview with Giovanni Dorin from Dorin Innovation and another article focused on an interview with Jeffrey Gingras, President of Systemes LMP.

All four of them were asked a set of specific questions–How they see the market for natural refrigerants developing both locally and globally this year, if there are any developing external trends that will affect the natural refrigerant sector, if there are any expected developments in the training of technicians and experts working with natural refrigerants, if they see any threats to their natural refrigerant business developing and what projects they are excited about for this year.

In answering the first question, all four acknowledged the growth of the natural refrigerant market, Olsen stated that he saw a strong market for ammonia in traditional industry applications, while Dorin stated that European manufacturers are focusing on systems with CO2.

Three of the four men stated that synthetic refrigerants would be a challenge in regards to external trends affecting the market.

In regards to training developments, all four of the men believed that the more knowledge there is the better, with all four of their companies working on different, but specific training programmes. In regards to threats to their natural business developing, three out of the four men currently don’t see any threats and in regards to their projects, there are many that all four of them are excited about.
